When we last left our story, Alex and Robert had done some cracker jack re-rigging of the Department processing equipment to save Jane's life, with a few modifications. She is largely herself and she has an axe to grind against Sydney Reeves the woman that mortally wounded her as she attempted to assassinate her beloved Alex. Sydney really has no idea that she is in a world of more trouble than she thought....
