Dear Uzobono:
Issue #2 left me a sensation of despair: Not for your work, of course, but for the world you have built: Caro city.
Haven chewing out Ruby seems to show the utter depravity and cynicism those agents have: In this city, things like compassion or pity are serious liabilities, and being cruel and cynical is the smart choice. And then they want to be even more cruel to other people (that is not them). This is the kind of mindset that only can survive in the totalitarism and fascist societies, and make the kind of life that everyone is begging to end.
Really, the Lady seems to have pity for Haven, but sadly it seems misplaced: Haven’s memories and personality are better of cleaned and put away, and I will throw the key away: Being a slave is an improvement. Also Ruby dependence of a total jerk like her is dangerous. Really, this city is like Potterville, a place where the people want to get drunk, and get drunk fast.
I really cannot wait to see the Lady liberating this town.
As you can see, this is in no way a critic to your work. I praise it because you have created in only two issues a credible world so bleak and full of despair.
Oh, and the mind control is not something evil, but maybe the only hope? Genius!
Keep up the good work.
