Although we all can agree that the series is phenomenal and the storyline is superb (props to Doc & Fin for letting Trish explore the deep dark crevices of Valiant Grrl and Solaria's connection to Max Indeks and developing an extremely interesting and sexy villian/hero/MC'ed villian in Hypnotica), I want to turn the focus to what I see as some of the most outstanding rendering done by Fin.
I'm a novice renderer and I admit that my abilities pale in comparison to the artists on this site, but I do know how painstaking it is to add even the slightest amount of detail to a plain panel to make you guy's faces glow with excitement when you see the updates role out. If you look back at pages 118, 120, 126, 127, 129 and 130 of the previous update, what you'll see is a mass screen of mulitple figures running around fighting with all kinds of effects happening simultaneously. To a renderer like me, that's a Mt. Everest of work. But Fin pulled it off, he showed every aspect of what was going on amongst the chaos and even got the shadows on everything to fall in the right places.
With this episode, the environment is tighted back down to the the events surrounding the captive Hypnotica. But Fin still keeps the same attention to detail as he did previously with posing the figures and applying the effects of what's going on in a seamless fashion.
I know Fin is a humble person and normally doesn't pop into the forums unless its to thank someone for a kind comment. But, great talent like this needs to be recognized ever so often and this, to me, is awesomely done. Bravo, Maestro, Bravo.
