Here we're with a new comic... <Fading Stars - Protean Uprising>
The fractured outer colonies struggles among themselves after the collapse of the Great Empire.
Devoid of a central goverment, the chaos has established in the farest colonies. This lack of a uniting power is filled by fragile alliances between the remains of the once noble houses.
But endless skirmishes and outlaw attacks are turning the old empire border in an anarchy region.
The pirates, exiled houses and the worst kind of criminal cartels, eager to carve out a piece of the Great Empire Technology, they fall into a cycle of restless violence and remorseles wars.
Forgotten are the old Empire values of humanity... Now the different political factions separated by distance, battle with open hostility witch each other.
Only the ancient matriarchal House of Arpad, ruled by the righteous Countess Neeva is still having access to the most precious resource of the Great Empire:
The Illium... A distilled substance from the precious Illithium Crystals.
In the hands of the Technomancers Order, Illium extends technology capabilities... turning a simple machine in a "Magic" Device capable of such extraordinary things.
But in the midst of this chaos, one darker faction has seeped back in the old empire space, quietly observing and participating at times in the outer colonies ravishing...
