Take your time - this has been an outstanding series so far and it will definitely be worth the wait.

Ten years ago they nearly killed one another and now Athena Spartan and her "brother", Alarius Temar, are face to face once more. But the cunning plan of the Alliance to find out what's happening on Elysia hits an unexpected obstacle because Temar also has his plans, and among the victims may be the person Athena loves.

Aboard the Valkyrie, Captain Nasanta isn't going to take the loss of contact with her crew lying down, and the Alliance Marines are going to bring them home. Meanwhile with most of the people aboard the Elysian station locked in a sexual frenzy, Athena Spartan begins making her way toward Alarius Temar for their final showdown, but he's taken some precautions.

I wanted to say this is another great issue. And I finally realized what it is I like about your work.

It's the pacing.

Lately, I have noticed that many of the stories here ( and moreso at another similar site) have had a lot of great art but the plot is barely advanced from issue to issue. When all you need is one sentence to tell you what happened, you are moving the story too slowly. Another story here had a recent update that amounts to: The two captives get frozen in ice. That's it.

You don't suffer this lack. In this issue you reviel Athena's special ability, send in the marines, give us additional upgraded slaves and have Athena and your readers wondering about what she has become. All while moving things toward some future conflict. Your updates always provide some new story point, some action and great art. Keep it up!

Sorry, sohta, I accidentally deleted your post while doing some moderation. Here's what you said:

I agree wholeheartedly. However to be fair some of the other artists due multiple comics at multiple sites, Doesn't help but that dos have an impact.

This story could very well be a movie (if not for the MC and the porn).

Just saw the next cover - yet again a Tuesday morning will be appointment viewing time it seems. To expand a little on sohta's comments, I particularly appreciate your ability to mix outstanding art with a well-told story. You develop characters it's easy to care about even as one roots for their eventual defeat. I look forward to seeing where this story goes next.

That is true. And I want to be clear that I do enjoy many of the stories running here. There are a lot of talented people producing great stuff on this site.

But I don't think overcommitment is an excuse. It may be the cause but that doesn't excuse it if it results in poor story telling. If you NEED 25 pages to move the plot forward enough, then you have to produce 25 pages. It would save you doing a couple extra covers even.

Sometimes you just need an editor to help you make these discussions. You can find erotic art all over the internet. What I am looking for is erotic STORIES with illustrations.

I feel bad that many of my comments end up sounding negative. I mean them constructively. There is a lot of good stuff here. I hope my comments can help make it even better.

And I should also make it clear that Teck is not the only capable story teller on this site. THere are others but To name all the ones I like would slight the others and I am hoping to see them become better.

Great issue. Want to add to the positive of bigger issues. Stories you can read where the plot advances.

This site def does it better than others. Love to read 30 or more pages, quality and quantity plenty.

Let me give a hear hear to this general discussion. See, the thing about this story is that it has meaningful conflict. Athena Spartan is extremely competent and capable... that has been proven numerous times throughout. But you still feel like she's fighting an uphill battle, with an enemy she's not even really aware of yet (meaning the drone collective, who are behind the slave technology being used and probably qualify as the true 'big bad'). So it could go either way, and the reader is satisfied. If she wins, it doesn't feel like a cheat because we haven't just been told that she's very good at what she does and has unheard of resistance, we have seen it. If she loses, it doesn't feel like a cheat either because the enemy has been shown to have technology far in advance of anything anybody else has (save the AIs, who are neutral at best and a deadly wild card at worst).

That's why my attention wanes with other stories. Frankly, the heroines often come across as inept, quickly falling to the villains. Even though we're told they're well respected and successful, they rarely demonstrate this and if they do prevail, it's often due to dumb luck. Villains don't get off the hook either. Aside from the fact that the heroines seem to walk blithely into obvious traps, the villains often enjoy serendipity -- that is, things just seem to go their way independently of anything they actually do. Their plans seldom come across as especially clever... they succeed because the deck is heavily stacked in their favor.

I know that MC is the ultimate point here, but the journey in a story should be at least as enjoyable as the destination.

Just want to jump in here and say that all the staff here at MCComix strive to put out the best comics possible each and every week. Are they perfect for plot or characterization? No, but that's the nature of creation. One person may love everything what creator A produces but another person may feel just the opposite.

I think the blend of stories we have here at the site is a great mix of scifi/superhero and other elements..all told with different pov's and styles. We don't do just one theme or universe here and that's something that makes us better than other similar sites out there.

We welcome any and all feedback from out loyal members here...if you like or dislike any elements in any story or update, by all means, post in the appropriate forums here. The creative types here want to hear from you, good or bad....

Thanks for the input and hope you continue to read the excellent stuff that is available here...

I HATE written communication because it is LOW and NARROW BANDWIDTH. IT takes forever(compared to speaking) to get a response that allows you to adjust the message and it loses all the sideband info like tone of voice and expression. So I want to apologize for maybe the 26th time if I sounded critical. I guess that I was being critical in a purely technical way but I was no trying to denigrate the fine work of ANY the artists and creators here.

Sure, I have favorites. And some things that some of the contributors do does make me less that thrilled. { I mean that as it reads. Some stuff does thrill me. Some doesn't. None of it is anything less than good. }

I really only wanted to make the point that the pacing of Teck's stories always manages to impress me more than most. For me, that is a VERY important part of the enjoyment.

I have to agree. I had thought I would miss some work in that 'Shared World' that exited a few months ago. But I am finding I don't miss it as much as I thought I would. There was rarely any real conflict or character depth. Reading your comment made me think of them as the inept heroes in an old DC mag, "The Inferior Five". Fun for a while but the gag gets stale.

Not always the case but often enough to get old. This point was even used in mocking the heroines by one of their own in one of the stories.
