Very random and tiny observation, but I think it shows the level of care taken here. In the previous issue, both of Tammy's friends were commenting about her hair, and she, or rather her sleeper personality, said that she was going to let it grow out some. A fair amount of time has passed since then... and not only has Tammy not grown her hair at all, she seems to have removed the stubble that WAS there. Maybe it's just me not noticing the stubble since her hair is red and would blend in easy with her skin at a distance, but to me it kind of demonstrates how artificial the base personality is when it is switched on, and how little meaning it ultimately has when even if she actually MEANS it at the time (the sleeper personality can be told to believe a lie that it's been programmed to) that what it says cannot be taken with any amount of faith because the CORE edicts come first, always. I actually wonder why she went full bald... I suspect that doctor had something to do with it, as she definitely takes a perverse glee in twisting people while the director seems to be more goal-focused. It isn't much of a stretch to think that she decided to have Tammy take a closer shave just out of spite.

It's also kind of sad that since meeting with her friends, Tammy's 'overlay' persona hasn't shown up at all. She's been in full automaton mode every time she's been seen since. Though to be fair, it seems that this is the norm at CORE. Interestingly, it's similar but opposite to how the officer described it in this issue. She made it out that most of the time she's normal, but could 'go robot' when needed. Of course, the reality is exactly the reverse... the vast majority of the time they're in robot mode, and the normal persona only comes out when they need to interact with someone on the outside for more than brief contact. Which again brings about Mel's situation. Even working there to look out for her friends, she'd have to notice that they're basically mindless dolls most of the time.

Oh! A very quick continuity quibble. When Mel was rescued by Haven, her eyes were normal. But the reason her eyes were white in the first place was because she was wearing contacts, so bringing her out of trance wouldn't affect their appearance. I don't recall when they were removed... oversight?

I am speechless Uzo, this volume pushed all my buttons and more, I never believed I had this many buttons to push. It's certainly too big to put into a brief summary, suffice to say a real knob twister for this reader were the events in the hive. Creepy, methodical, certainly a robo-fetishist's dream, and Tabico has outdone his/herself. The twists and turns, especially with what I certainly thought was Melanie's almost-droning halfway through the issue kept me glued to the monitor. How you have captured each character, and to reiterate a previous post, these are REAL characters. The exchange between Melanie and Nicole, and afterward the cold, matter-of-fact offer by Melcthion was over the top good. There are classics in science fiction, fantastical literature, nonfic, and I hope you'll continue with this series knowing this reader counts Tabico and yourself as the "classics" of the erotic storytelling genre. Thank you both for bringing such a wonderful piece of work to us.

Thank you so much for the comments everyone :). I'll just go down the list here..:p.

@Adon: I'm *so* glad you enjoyed Tabico's story :p. I *do* agree she's written quite the thing here. I should point out though that Tammy/Nicole aren't so much facades, or fake, just like you mentioned, their "real" personalities are just turned on when needed. Which isn't a lot :p. As for Mel, well, she's a good person so far isn't she?

As for Tammy's hair..well she *did* have the stubble in this episode, though it's a bit fainter, but yes! Spot on that CORE directives come first, if she's told to keep it shaved she shaves it.

For the continuity, you can assume that before waking her up Haven removed the contacts (maybe just to make sure she *wasn't* a drone). The goal was to have a bit more expression in Melanie's face for the "escape" portion from the hive.

@bluemax: Thanks so much!

@kakyo: Good question >.-. That's *if* she finds out however.

@obviousagent: Never fear, there *is* more planned (well *maybe* not 162 pages...)

@Sumatra: Thank you for waiting!

@tomcat: Oh no worries :p. I *am* taking a bit of a vacation in a few days, so there'll be a dry spell from me for a bit, *but* I do hope you'l continue to support the other writers here :).

@xarielx: Thank you for reading xarielx! Button pushing was the goal here :p. The hive was definitely my favorite part to work on, and Tabico just amazes me with the amount of work she's put into this script.

Excellent work. Tabico's scripting is, as I would expect from being a long-time reader of hers, very good and your artwork no less.

From a technical standpoint, the part that worked very well, especially in the Hive sequence, was that the written didn't conflict with the visual: there's a nice balance between conveying information via text and allowing the art to show the work. I've made it clear in the past that I'm not a huge fan of those non-dialogue text boxes that are infodumps (except when absolutely necessary), even less so when they're repeating what you can clearly see is happening and shouldn't need an explanation for.

All in all, as I said before, excellent.

This is simply awesome! What else can I say that others have not. WOW! As an aside, I really enjoy how Pierce discussed how she enjoyed being controlled. I also love the role sex plays with the cored babes.

So far, Uzobono has never dissappointed, but rather exceeded our expectations.

Also love the nice MC arms race going on!

Any hope for a new cover of the next issue soon?
This is such an awesome piece if work. Really turning out to about my favorite to date. Some of the scenes were just so mind-blowingly hot!
I like how you all are willing to take realistic chances with the characters. Makes the story so much more interesting because I don't know what's coming next.
Also love the MC arms race as Leto mentioned. And the mole that is now in CORE (can't wait to see it activated).
More women with glasses please!
And I'd love to see how the controllers are created. They seem to be a bit more self-aware. Maybe they are a combination of corrupted and droned.

Without sounding like a parrot, I hope you're working towards another CORE Uzo. I'm still stunned at the level of detail you and Tabico have put into this piece. Reading from issue one, they actually mention a "Saban" working at CORE, then in issue two, she's mentioned again by Nicole, and I believe it's no coincidence that Melissa Saban was the escort to Nicole's coring. Again, flawlessly told, and I hope and wait that you'll continue to produce such quality work.

Hi everyone :), I'm on hiatus for *just* a bit longer *but* I should be back soon :D. Thank you all so much for the comments!

@Tecknophyle: Thank you so much, though about...90% of all platitudes should be @Tabico, she knew *just* when the panels would speak enough for themselves.

@leto: Thanks!

@sohta: It's still in infancy *but* it *is* planned (and maybe a cover soon-ish..)

@xarielx: Thank you so much! Officer Saban was initially just a name but I thought "It makes sense ;) ".

What month Zonedance will be released in? The cover is lovely.
This story is just so over the top and absolutely incredible in it's presentation.

I know it was mentioned that once a person is dollified that is permanent and irreversible.
You don't need to answer but I'm so wondering if many of the other modifications are permanent as well. The CORE insert, the drones, the drone leaders, and the sleeper agents. Some of that seems pretty well impossible to revoke.

I'm hoping there are some other types of modifications by other factions as well.

Between the three story arcs (CORE, Division Night Moves, and Division Seductive Path) I sometimes have the feeling that the main characters are actually not main at all and might possibly be small pawns in a much larger battle between factions that are rivaling for dominance and that they along with other new characters will be overshadowed and overcome in the grand scheme of events. Probably not true at all but I could see these three stories as just the beginning.

@bluemax2: Thanks *so* much :). It's looking like November-ish at the moment, I *promise* it'll be worth the wait!

@sohta123: November-ish for the release :p, and from what I've read/rendered so far, the story is just *glorious*.

For permanence, you should consider *every* type of mc/transformation permanent unless its specifically said that there's a reversal (a la Night Moves).

For each arc, you can pretty much assume the drones/hives/Agency are the main antagonists overall. I won't give *too* much away but there's a bit of crossover soon-ish between Night Moves and Seductive Path ;).
