For the first time as a team, Uncle Sickey and Doctor Robo present their new “Femina Machinae” series exclusively at MCcomix.com!

http://www.mccomix.com/gallery2/main.ph ... emId=41307

Dr. Fawn Buxley is a beautiful and brilliant scientist, one of the foremost researchers of her day. Metrobay University has assured her a very comfortable lifestyle in exchange for her work on a top secret scientific endeavor that promises to change the course of Metrobay history.

But those long, stressful hours locked away in her laboratory come at a price, and her benefactors are starting to demand results. So, she breaks the most cardinal of scientific rules – never experiment on yourself – and when the job gets a little too ‘personal’ she has only herself and her lab partner to blame… a partner who just so happens to be a sentient computer of her own design!

So what exactly is the nature of this artificial intelligence, and what is its relationship with Dr. Buxley? Find out in chapter one of “Femina Machinae”, available exclusively at MCcomix.com!

Hi Uncle Sickey and Dr. Robo

When I saw this story, I remembered a movie called “Saturn 3”, where a robot (called HECTOR!) tried to “know intimately” Farra Fawcett. That robot also was made of human fetus “brains”, and also killed his inventor. And that naturally means to name the “HAL”, the natural name of an Artificial Intelligence gone wrong (also, an acronym of “IBM”).

The point with those movies is the same with Dr. Buxley: We know the A.I. is gone wrong. Now what to do with it? HECTOR and HAL met a grishly end, but they were menacing human life. Alpha doesn’t seem to have that problem, but Buxley has been drugged and… robot handled? Against his will. She cannot let that go unnoticed.

But maybe she has to. Buxley has to get results. Now she has one, but it’s the wrong one: She has designed a rapist machine. This sounds like a bad idea, but then again, this is Metrobay and maybe his sponsors were expecting that.

Is Alpha an Alpha Male? Is he more like a child, or even a horny adolescent? Her view of sex is influenced by his organic part?

I hope you can answer some of this questions in the future issues.

Hector.

Exclusively at MCcomix.com, Uncle Sickey and Doctor Robo present chapter two of their new “Femina Machinae” series!

http://www.mccomix.com/gallery2/main.ph ... emId=41612

Dr. Fawn Buxley trusted Alpha. She helped build him, program him, and teach him the ways of humanity. And how does he repay her? By taking advantage of her when she is at her most vulnerable? Well, Fawn is not going to stand for that!

When Fawn returns to her lab to set Alpha straight, the rogue supercomputer decides he doesn’t WANT to be fixed. In fact, maybe it’s FAWN that is in need of a few upgrades. Has anyone ever considered that?

Oh man, I am really enjoying this so far! I can't wait to see what happens to Fawn next issue! Is she going to be reprogrammed as a human robot, or is she going to undergo a physical transformation as well for a full robotic conversion! I love that she's been shaved bald too...definitely going to add to her robotization, I think, whether she retains her human apperance or not!

And Uncle Sickey, I'm really enjoying the art so far as well! Can't wait to see what you have in store for whatever "process" is awaiting Dr. Buxley! The only thing I would say is that I find the opaque letter balloons and boxes to be a little distracting. I understand the desire not to cover up your art completely, but maybe you could turn down the opacity just a bit so the background behind the words is a little less prominent? Or another idea would be to change to a slightly smaller font, or change to a smaller spacing between rows of text, so that the word balloons can be slightly smaller and don't cover up as much of your work!!

Oh yeah...and the first two stories came out in such quick succession, which I love...but I am curious as to when we can expect the third chapter? I CERTAINLY don't want to rush your work at all, because you can't rush quality...but I am very eager to see it!

Thanks for the kind words, Madcap and Hector. They are very much appreciated!

We are tentatively scheduled to post chapter 3 (of 4) on December 20. We'll let you know if that changes.

Hi Doc and Uncle Sickey

Femina Machinae 1.2. Hey, I get it! 1.2!

Well, do you remember about the movie I told ya, Saturn 7? Hector the robot also used mechanical tentacles to hold his female victim.

Did Fawn knew about the robotic tentacles? She certainly must have not know about the strange device used to contain her.

Talking about her, I think her conduct is logic. Any other person would have gone crazy when Alpha captured her, but she was the creator, is like a mechanic who has problems fixing a car: He always think that the strange events were still in his control.

I didn’t like that Fawn was stripped of his clothes, spectacles and even her hair! I understand that maybe she was going to be roboticed, but the hair is something that makes her look cool!

I am anxious to see next issue, thanks!

Hector.

Hi Hector. I think it's a safe bet that Fawn knew about the tentacles. In fact, she may have even helped design and/or install them. But surely Alpha made his own modifications during those long, lonely nights waiting for her to return the next morning, right?

You're correct in your assessment of Fawn's reaction to Alpha's behavior. Most people would have freaked out about it, but to whom was she going to turn? She couldn't go to her bosses at the college or APEX for fear of getting her funding revoked. So she decided to try to fix the problem herself and salvage the project. We can see how that worked out...

See, I on the other hand LOVE that she was stripped of her hair. Makes the dehumanization a little more complete with her impending fate as a robot woman.

But Doc, you said that you had the next update tentatively planned for December 20th, and now I see that something else is scheduled on the Covers Gallery. I imagine this is being delayed, which, if that translates to quality in story and art, I am not going to complain about. I am curious though if you have an idea of when the next story chapter will be coming out?

Hi Madcap. MCtek was gracious enough to switch dates and give us a couple of more days to polish things up. We plan to update on 12/22, but as I'm sure you can understand the impending holidays are throwing a monkeywrench in the works. I'll keep you all updated if anything changes.

Oh, it's certainly understandable. Part of me can't wait to see a cover image for the next issue...but the other part of me doesn't want to see any spoilers! :P

A quick update: Due to 'real world' obligations, "Femina Machinae" 1.3 will have to be postponed until a later date, likely sometime in January. I will make an announcement and/or post a cover page when I have an exact publication date.

My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

It's been about three weeks without any kind of update here. How are we doing on this one? Can't wait for the next episode!

This may be belated, and Doc Robo could have predicted this, but I also hope to see full robotic transformation in 1.3, which I hope is arriving shortly. Enjoying the series so far. Happy 2012!

Hey all,

Please don't blame Doc Robo for the delay. I had a cross state move and pretty much uprooted from scratch for the second time in less than 7 months. Everything's unpacked and I'm settling into the new 'porn cave'. Just a few more days folks, ok? Just happy you like the story thus far, and Doc Robo's ingenious imagination that should take all of the credit. Just hang in there readers; I think you will really like the next chapter.

No worries, Uncle Sickey.

Folks, I just received the raw pictures for this week's update, and my hard drive damn near melted. They're that hot. Here's the cover to whet your appetites for this weekend: http://www.mccomix.com/gallery2/main.ph ... emId=43572

Look for the full update sometime Saturday night!
