I do wonder... is it correct what your hero said about "the corruption is irreversible" ?

if that's true, that would mean he has lost his mother (who accepted it willingly) and his sister (who was forced to do so) forever... I doubt he's the "Batman-type" character and be able to deal with a loss like that

A very astute observation, kakyo001, and quite right. There is no going back for Nina or Melinda, nor for any evil-corrupted characters in our stories. My writer partner, Lokito, says it's like classic vampirism. Willingly turned or not, vampires are dead people, and it is their curse alone that animates them, so they cannot be "cured". This differentiates our work from other MC comics where it's only a matter of time before the victim's proper thinking is restored, and you basically just wait out the mind control. Nina will remain hot witch mother Dark Widow to the end, ditto Melinda as Malicia. Star Knight will have to deal with this sad truth in his growth to adult superhero - that is if he survives it.

with evil persons like that in the town every sane woman should leave as long as she can... it can't end well for them if they're eventually turned into a obedient slave for the rest of their life
