American Amazon in Origins: What makes a Hero

Postby dumbtime » October 23rd, 2009, 8:01 am

WooHoo!!

Can you believe it, I actually have a comic posted online, by my own hand. :)

Thank you Doc for the opportunity and all you peeps out there that helped make this possible, especially you Fin.

Now on with the show...

Synopsis: (This is a prequel story to A Slave to a Nation found here - http://free.hipcomix.com/gallery2/main. ... emId=61603)
A few years back, during the time that Ted Twist was seeking his revenge on Alpha Woman, Anna Creech had been recently promoted from a junior agent position to a full-fledged federal agent with the Federal Intelligence Agency in Capital City. The story begins on her first day at work after that promotion. She should be overjoyed at the opportunity but something seems to be distracting her. Something that happenned the night before. Something that she fears might be too intense to overlook.

Check it out here - http://www.mccomix.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=2575

I have the basics down in doing the art work and I'm learning more techniques for fine tuning my work, but a little constructive criticsim or support can always help. :)
Hopefully you will enjoy it and let me know what you guys think.

Great first start. Good visuals and an interesting premise. Nice to see Freedom Girl return too.

My only criticisms are mainly spelling and word usage. :P Just a helpful hint, you might want to have someone proofread your text before you put it in. It's minor, but worth mentioning (hint hint, I nominate myself), as well as slight minor visual quirks that could be fixed in post-production.

But overall, a fantastic start!

Thanks peeps for the kind response.

Especially to you Trishbot. I'm not use to adding dialogue to the panels yet so it will take some getting use to. If you are up for the challenge, i could use some help with word usage here and there when I need to make the thought fit what needs to be said.

Another update coming next month. Be on the look out for it.

Sorry, I'm late. I had some technical difficulties with some of the panels that pushed me to work on them up until Friday. Before I could post them, I had a real life issue keep me from my computer the rest of the evening until this morning. Please forgive me for my tardiness.

Now on with the show...

Synopsis-
Anna continues the conversation with Paula as she thinks back to a certain day in the time of her former life. A day back when she was enjoying the moment as the warrior princess she once was. It was the day the dreaded ‘Pirate Queen’ was finally captured. Little did she know, as she will soon tell Paula, how much her life would change after that day.

Dig into Part 1 of episode 2. 

Due to some unforeseen real life hindrances; Part 2 of American Amazon's Origin story will be delayed. I will try to have it posted by Monday, in order not to interfere with Finister's Sunday update.

Uggh. Being on call for your job can really mess up a weekend. I didn't get the finish product done today and I don't want to interfere with Akonkid's update tomorrow so mine will have to wait till Wednesday. I think you guys will like it, so the wait will have been worth it.

Interesting! We're all so used to the big bad villains being the ones that do the mind controlling, but seeing Aina's mom employ it to "tame" her rival was very unique and interesting!
