Ares the God of War Ares was in his temple celebrating.At that moment, the bloodiest battle in history was taking place. As a true god of war, he was living in paradise during a world war, where his name was becoming stronger and stronger.Drinking a golden cup of wine made by Hephaestus, the Greek god was happy.
Ares' happiness changed with the appearance of a familiar presence on Olympus, the sorceress Circe.
"What do you want witch??!!" snarled Ares...who became angry at the sight of the seductive sorceress.
"It is an honor to be in your presence Lord Ares...but I bring bad tidings for you" replied Circe with a smile and bow.
"Speak witch! What mischief do you bring now??" snarled Ares...his anger and impatience growing.
"The war is about to end Lord Ares" said Circe
Ares howled with laughter from his golden throne.
"Impossible! The Nazis are dominating Europe and the war will continue for many years to come" scoffed Ares as he drank some more wine.
"This is not so Lord Ares...Observe" replied Circe...as she gestured with her hands...to create a mirror of water in the air...that showed several American generals gathered in a room...fleshing out a plan to invade France...the plan was codenamed D-Day.
Ares' mood changed as he studied the details of what Circe was showing him.
"This cannot be. If this plan is implemented...the Nazis will be defeated by an Allied force of superior size and strength...This must be stopped...but how?" asked Ares.
